Youth Sports

Our youth sports are structured to teach young players the fundamentals of recreation sports while instilling self-confidence, strength and sportsmanship in a non-competitive atmosphere. Our programs help develop the physical, psychological, and social aspects of youth sports.

We focus on participation, fun, sportsmanship, and promote a non-competitive, recreational approach to sports. Participants, parents, and coaches are expected to support this value system.

Coaching - We need YOUR help!

Our recreation programs are dependent upon volunteer coaches! Parents are encouraged to join in the fun by serving as volunteer coaches. We provide training and the materials so you are comfortable with leading your team. All volunteers are required to pass a background check.

We also offer incentives for coaches – ask us about the benefits! Contact Jordan, our Recreation Coordinator – Athletics, at 417-625-4750 or at jrainey@joplinmo.org if you’re interested in learning more or signing up!
