City Clerk discusses her role in municipal government during Newsmakers

The upcoming Newsmakers interview program on KGCS-TV features City Clerk Barbara Hogelin. Hogelin sat down with program host Judy Stiles to discuss the role of the City Clerk in municipal government and explain various responsibilities her office holds in assisting the Joplin Mayor and City Council members.

Hogelin recently was named Outstanding City Clerk of Missouri by the Missouri City Clerks and Finance Officers Association (MoCCFOA). This award recognizes a City Clerk or Finance Officer who has demonstrated outstanding service and commitment to their municipality, community, and professional organizations. Hogelin has served as the Joplin City Clerk for nearly 20 years. Prior to that, she held the Deputy City Clerk position.

The program will air during the week of April 17, as well as other times this spring. Scheduled times include:

KGCS Airdates:

Tuesday, April 18 – 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday, April 19 – 5:30 p.m.

Thursday, April 20 -5:30 p.m.
