Police Chief discusses community involvement and crime tips during Newsmakers show

The upcoming Newsmakers interview program on KGCS-TV features Police Chief Matt Stewart. Stewart sat down with program host Judy Stiles to discuss various topics related to the Joplin Police Department (JPD) including community involvement and recent honors received by the department as well as some officers.  In addition, they discussed recent crime statistics for Joplin and a number of crime prevention tips that residents will find helpful.

The program will air at 5:30 p.m. on KGCS-TV during the week of November 12, as well as other times this month. Scheduled times include:

Newsmakers is produced by KGCS-TV, a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.  Programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems such as Cable One, Mediacom and Suddenlink.
