In any city of decent size, there lies a dog park, where people who are pet friendly can take their pets, enjoy the company of other dog-lovers, and drink coffee or chat while their pets tire out.
It is a great social addition to a community already in need of social promotion. More face to face interaction allows a community to bond- and nobody bonds quicker than over a shared connection- such as a pet.
Most cities have a large fenced off area with trash receptacles with plastic baggies- pet owners are well practiced at scooping poop! And most people would love a park to let pets play.

I know Joplin has brought up of building a tornado museum near Cunningham Park. I don't know the full details, but I hope something more kid friendly could maybe take its place. If we are going to build something like that, it would be great for it to be exciting and fun. Being near the park, new school, new theater, it just shouts something more kid friendly. Our city needs more things for children, and I really think it would be something that everyone would be able to enjoy.

I know Joplin has brought up of building a tornado museum near Cunningham Park. I don't know the full details, but I hope something more kid friendly could maybe take its place. If we are going to build something like that, it would be great for it to be exciting and fun. Being near the park, new school, new theater, it just shouts something more kid friendly. Our city needs more things for children, and I really think it would be something that everyone would be able to enjoy.

I wanted to get a feel for the public desire to see the downtown of their city, Joplin, modeled in Google Earth.
There are many benefits to modeling your city in Google Earth. The most apparent benefit is that having your downtown modeled in Google Earth allows people across the nation to view and engage in the urban planning and history of the buildings in a city. This holistic view is much more helpful than the traditional walk through that is available in Google Street View. The Google Earth program allows models to display information including text about the building's history or the current business occupant.
I would love to hear if there is an interest to model the city or if first modeling a smaller portion of the city makes more sense. It may make more sense to model a smaller portion of the city to examine the amount of digital traffic that the area will receive before proceeding with a more extensive city model.
