Hazard Mitigation Plan

2011 Jasper County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan

The 2011 Jasper Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan has been reviewed in compliance with FEMA standards required by Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA 2000), P.L. 106-390.

The Jasper County Hazard Mitigation Stake holders determined that the implementation process should be coordinated within a nascent organization called the Harry S. Truman Coordinating Council (HSTCC )Area Hazard Mitigation Committee (which will consist of County Commissioners, County Emergency Management Director, municipal public officials, fire protection, law enforcement, emergency, and public health officials).

This Committee will convene to move through this plan so to implement and initiate the Hazard Mitigation Plan’s actions and coordinate all the grants through SEMA by recommending which projects warrant priority based upon the analysis of this Plan and their participation there within.

This process has been completed for this update period. Yearly, a meeting will be convened to review the plan. This plan is current through 2016.
