Joplin Parks and Recreation has partnered with Berzerker Swimming to offer morning and evening swim lessons in 2021. The Learn-to-Swim classes provide instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills. Classes are designed to give students a positive learning experience and confidence in the water and are divided into appropriate age groups.
Parent and Child Aquatics
For ages 6 months - 3 years. Class will help children get ready to swim by emphasizing fun in the water.
Infant (6 months - 1 year)
Children learn basic skills through fun activities such as blowing bubbles and playing with water toys.
Toddler (1 - 3 years)
Parents work with their children to practice floating, kicking, jumping, and swimming back to the side of the pool.

Students will feel more comfortable in the water and learn to enjoy the water safely while learning fundamental skills.
Level 2: Stroke Development and Improvement
Students will develop confidence in the strokes and improve other aquatic skills
Level 3: Stroke Refinement and Skill Proficiency
Instructors help students refine strokes so that the students swim with ease, efficiency, power, and smoothness over distances.
