AN ORDINANCE approving the voluntary annexation by the Council of the City of Joplin, Missouri, at the end of public right-of-way of W. Par Ln., Joplin, MO., Jasper County, Missouri.

A RESOLUTION authorizing support of the 2021 Action Plans developed by City staff based on priorities established by the City Council at its November 30th, 2020 Visioning Workshop.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-002

AN ORDINANCE submitting to the electors of the City of Joplin, at a Special Election on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, the question of whether the City shall extend a sales tax of one-quarter (1/4) of one percent (1%) for a period of ten (10) years for the purpose of funding stormwater control and local parks; prescribing a form of Ballot thereof, and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-135

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin to enter into an agreement with McClanahan Construction Co., Inc., in the amount of One Million, Two Hundred Eighty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($1,280,000.00) for construction services associated with the Turkey Creek and Shoal Creek Wastewater Treatment Facilities Digester Roof Repairs project on behalf of the City of Joplin and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 as adopted by Ordinance 2020-156 on October 19, 2020; and, containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-513

AN ORDINANCE of the City of Joplin, Missouri, imposing a use tax for general revenue purposes at the rate of three and one eighth percent (31/8%) for storing, using, or consuming within the City any article of tangible personal property pursuant to the authority granted by and subject to the provisions of Sections 144.600 through 144.761 RSMo; providing for the use tax to be repealed, reduced, or raised in the same amount as any city sales tax is repealed, reduced, or raised; and providing for submission of the proposal to the qualified voters of the City for their approval at  the election called and to be held in the City on Tuesday November 2, 2021; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE calling an Election in the City of Joplin, Missouri to authorize general obligation bonds in the amount not to exceed $30,000,000 to reconstruct, renovate, expand, and improve Memorial Hall in the City, and to improve related parking; and, containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE calling an Election in the City of Joplin, Missouri to authorize general obligation bonds in the amount not to exceed $10,000,000 to reconstruct, renovate and improve the former downtown Library Building in the City, and to improve related parking; and, containing an emergency clause.
