COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-007

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, a Missouri municipal corporation, to enter into an agreement with Integrated Roadways, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, for the purpose of developing a smart infrastructure program; and authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreement by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin, Missouri, a Missouri municipal corporation, to enter into an agreement with Bird Rides, Inc., a Delaware corporation, for the purpose of implementing a shared active transportation operation; and authorizing the City Manager to execute said agreement by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-353

AN ORDINANCE approving the contract by and between the City of Joplin and Nelson’s Enterprises for the demolition of the structure(s) and clearing of a lot located at 1529 S. Connor Ave. in the City of Joplin, Missouri, for Four Thousand Two Hundred dollars ($4,200); providing how the cost thereof shall be paid; how the assessment thereof shall be made; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-354

AN ORDINANCE approving the contract by and between the City of Joplin and Nelson’s Enterprises for the demolition of the structure(s) and clearing of a lot located at 223 Galena Ave. in the City of Joplin, Missouri, for Four Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty dollars ($4,850.00); providing how the cost thereof shall be paid; how the assessment thereof shall be made; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-519

AN ORDINANCE    levying taxes in the City of Joplin, Missouri for the year 2021 in the amount of Seventeen and Forty-Six Hundredths Cents ($0.1746) on One Hundred Dollars of valuation of all real property in said City, and levying taxes in the Joplin Public Library District for the year 2021 in the amount of Twenty-Four and Fifty-Three Hundredths Cents ($0.2453) on One Hundred Dollars of valuation of all real property in said District, and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-009

AN ORDINANCE re-adopting Chapter 2, Administration, of the Joplin City Code, Section 2-107, "Financial interest disclosure", requiring certain officials and employees of the City of Joplin to file Financial Interest Disclosure Statements as described herein.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2021-148

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the City of Joplin to enter into an agreement with Rosetta Construction, Inc., in the amount of Five Hundred Ninety-three Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-four and 25/100 Dollars ($593,774.25) for the East 7th Street Sewer Extension project; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

Declare excess surplus property for the annual City of Joplin auction on September 18.

Closed Session

Vote to go into closed session, which shall pertain to the hiring, firing, disciplining, or promotion of an employee or particular employees of a governmental body involving personal information as set forth in Section 610.021(3) RS Mo, as amended, 2020. This meeting, record, and vote to be closed to the extent provided by law. The City Council shall adjourn at the end of the session.
